Adobe GoLive Extensions

I've written a few extensions and Actions for use in GoLive 6. Although not tested in CS yet, they should work fine. These are free for you to use and distribute, as long as my comments remain intact.

All of these are provided "as is" and although they work for me, I cannot guarantee their perfect operation, and I am not responsible for any lost time, data, etc. resulting from their use.

Actions

To install these, unzip and copy the ".action" file into your "Modules/JScripts/Actions" folder.

• Close Window and Redirect Opener
  add this action to an item in a window you've popped open (using the GL "open window" action) to close that window and send the original window to a new location. (View a sample)

Extensions

After unzipping, copy the resulting folders into your "Modules/Extend Scripts" folder. All commands add an "SL Tools" menu to GoLive. All objects add a "Steve's Custom Palette" tab to your objects palette.

• Make Fake Links (command)
  takes selected text and creates a "fake link" (href="#").
  NOTE: this only works with text selections, not images.
• Greek Text (object)
  drops a paragraph of Lorem Ipsum
• Callout table (object)
  inserts a table with 1 cell, padding 8px, with background color and cell color, to make a "callout" box. I use this a lot in my work.
• State Menu (object)
  inserts a form pop-up menu with the 50 United States
